Playlists empty on device after sync

I have:
Samsung Galaxy A3 running Android 5.0.2
Windows 7 laptop running iTunes
iTunes library and music files saved on Synology DS213air, connected to router via LAN cable

I've successfully loaded playlists into iTunesfusion pro, then synced across to my phone, reducing the files to 128CBR MP3. All music transfers and can be played on all media players, but playlists are saved as a file just with today's date. I've tried several audio player apps on the phone (Samsung's 'Music'; Vanilla Music; Poweramp) but none of them show any tracks in the playlist on my device - some even fail to show the playlist at all. I've tried out the various playlist export settings when syncing with my phone, but still no usable playlists materialise.

iTunesfusion is a great piece of software in nearly all ways - just what I was looking for as a replacement to my iPod using my phone - but having the playlists work on my phone is vital (as I have a long cycle ride to work, and don't want to keep stopping to fiddle with my phone when albums end). If I can't get the playlists to function, I'm unlikely to buy the full version when my trial runs out, and it's back to the drawing board for an alternative.

Any ideas where I'm going wrong - or if iTunesfusion is even capable of creating usable playlists on the device? Anyone else had this problem?

Thanks

The playlists work great on my phone, but I'm using a Nexus 5X with Android 6.

I've done some searching on the web, and it seems like this is a common problem with some Android devices when syncing over MTP:

I did find this app which supposedly can refresh the media information: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.house.noranuko.mediarescanner. I can't confirm if it works, since my device doesn't have this issue, but it might be worth a try :)

Just download and tried that app you recommended. No change though. Playlists are still empty. Any other ideas?

I'm kind of stumped here. If you reboot the phone right after a sync, does that make any difference?

Rebooted following a sync and no different. Does the fact I'm syncing with a Synology NAS Diskstation (connected to my wi-fi router) have anything to do with it, do you think?

Nah, the source location won't make a difference at all. Could you backup your iTunesFusion settings and send me a copy? You can back them up using the Settings > Export button on the Options tab.

Thanks!

Thanks! Are you syncing to the SD card on the phone, or the internal memory? If it's the SD card, could you try syncing a few tracks with a playlist to the internal memory to see if that makes any difference?

I have the music stored on the SD card and the phone memory. But the playlists are always 0 KB big and empty .Only when I sync with a PC drive will be created with content playlists . What should I do in order to create on the mobile phone playlists ?

Unfortunately Samsung devices are terrible for following standards, and as a result they don't work correctly like most other devices. We're working on adding better support for Samsung devices in the next version, but I don't have an ETA right now. Thanks!
