Hi,

I having problem fixing the play order sorting, the output is always ascending
While my iTunes is set to descending

Any idea how to solve this?

It looks like when you sort by a column other than the left-most column in iTunes, iTunes itself will use that order when playing the tracks, but it doesn't actually change the order of the songs in the playlist itself. So when iTunesFusion reads the playlist, it's still using the manual playlist order (which you see when you sort by the left-most column in iTunes).

I will put a request on our list to see if there's a way we can add sorting to the iTunesFusion Profiles. If we're able to implement it in a future version, we'll be sure to let you know.

Thanks!

Hi,

I tried to use sort using the left most column, the result is also different from the last iTunesFusion output

Weird! And if you run the sync again, is the order still different?

Hi... after checking the sync output file list, you are correct.. it follows the order in iTunes (attached)

Anyway, after further tryouts, I found out that only when using sort by "Date Added" in iTunes, the it can't correctly follow the acsending/descending order. Fusion is always acsending.

When I tried using different sort category (i.e. "Album by Artist" or "Artist"), Fusion output is correct according to the ascending or descending order

Interesting! I tried with Date Added and also sorting by track length, and both didn't work. Strange that some columns do work. I'll add that to the ticket notes.

Thanks!
