Just doesn't work

When I run sync, it counts the tracks (about 7,000 so that takes a couple of minutes) and then just stops. Nothing at all happens. Tried it 3 times.

Windows 10. iTunes 12.6.1.25 (installed a couple of days ago). ItunesFusion 3.0.1 (just installed). Before the recent installs, it worked fine.

Some other strange things, including the attached very strange window when I try to run ITF Settings. And it goes on generating additional copies of that same window, seemingly indefinitely (there are about 15 of them now, jsut a minute or so after the first one opened).

We've had a few other customers report this as well, and we're currently looking into it. We'll be sure to post an update as soon as we have more news.

Thanks!

I should have also mentioned that a major update to Win 10 also occurred just before this.

Could you give this test build a try?

I just tried in and it seems to have worked. I will try the USB stick in the car (which is the purpose of the whole exercise) and let you know if there are any problems. Thanks.

Maybe I spoke too soon. It has worked in the sense that it apparently has synced files correctly. However, I now cannot close the application; in fact, nothing I click on does anything at all, including the upper-right X. I had to use Task Manager to shut it down.

Which window was it stuck on? The Sync window?

Also, if you can reproduce it again, could you capture a debug log?
  • On the iTunesFusion Settings > Troubleshooting tab, change the Logging drop-down to "L1: Log Minimal" and click Apply
  • Restart iTunesFusion
  • Reproduce the issue and note the time so we'll know where to check in the log file
  • Send us the %%APPDATA%%\iTunesFusion\iTunesFusion.log file (can be found by clicking the Open Log button on the Troubleshooting tab)
  • Disable debug logging after sending the log

This time everything worked fine. Here is the log anyway in case it's useful.

Ok, could you leave debug logging enabled for now, and if you run into the issue with the sync window not closing, send me an updated log?
